Series of 4 classes $100
Here is a great class for kids to learn the basics of baking. Students will work through one to two recipes a week, learning new terms and techniques as well as kitchen safety. Each week is different: week one-cookies; week two-tarts; week three-muffins, week four-cakes. Our young chefs will receive a recipe binder, plus many treats to take home and share with the family.
Books and Cooks
We’ve drawn our inspiration for this series of classes from some of our favorite children’s books. We will start each class in the kitchen, preparing dishes inspired by the book of the day. Then we will enjoy what we have cooked up in the Cypress room, as well as have a storytime.
Note: The 3-4 year old classes are parent participation classes, with a ratio of one parent to each child.

Did your parents ever take you to San Francisco for an afternoon tea during the holidays? Well now you can enjoy a holiday tea with your child right here in Sonoma County —but this one will be prepared by your budding chef! The class begins in the kitchen, where kids will prepare the three main components of a proper afternoon tea: scones, finger sandwiches, and of course—sugar plum sweets. Thirty minutes before the class ends, we ask parents to arrive and join us for our tea party, which we hope will delight both parent and child alike.
Note: Age exceptions can be made with instructor approval so that siblings can take the same class. Also, you are welcome to bring a holiday outfit for your child to change into prior to the tea party.)
