Patacake Parties is pleased to offer three packages for home birthday parties, allowing you to enjoy your child's birthday party in the privacy of your own home, but without having to worry about how to entertain the kids, or what to serve. Leave that part to us!
The Classic Patacake Party is a baking class where kids bake cupcakes, make a cream cheese frosting, and then decorate their cupcakes. Enough cupcakes are baked and decorated for the kids and parents to enjoy at the party, and then boxes are provided so each guest can take home a cupcake as a party favor. This party costs $150 for eight guests and includes:
- One 75-minute cooking class with a cooking instructor and assistant
- 45 minutes prep time beforehand to set up class and party table
- 30 minutes cleanup time to clean the kitchen once the lesson is completed
- ingredients for cupcakes, frosting, and decorating and lemonade
- individual boxes of cupcakes for party favors
- use of plates, cups, cupcake tree, tablecloth and napkins
- custom invitations
- apron for the birthday boy or girl to keep
For the Build-A-Pizza party, each child makes a pizza from scratch, and then decorates prebaked cupcakes while the pizza dough is rising. The guests also prepare a fresh fruit salad for a side dish. This party costs $180 for eight guests and includes:
- One 90 minute cooking class with a cooking instructor and assistant
- 45 minutes prep time beforehand to set up class and party table
- 45 minutes cleanup time to clean the kitchen once the lesson is completed
- ingredients for pizzas (with four topping choices), cupcakes, and fruit kabobs
- use of plates, cups, cupcake tree tablecloth and napkins
- custom invitations
- apron for the birthday boy or girl to keep
Note: There will be about 30 minutes from when the class is over (and the pizzas are in the oven) to when the pizzas are ready to eat. We suggest that this is a good time to open presents or for the parents to plan another game/activity before lunch is served.
We also offer an English Tea party where kids make scones, two types of finger sandwiches and a tea-time dessert of their choice (such as mini-cupcakes, mini-tarts or cookies) This party costs $180 for eight guests and includes:

- 45 minutes cleanup time to clean the kitchen once the lesson is completed
- ingredients for sandwiches, scones, dessert, and lemonade

If there are too many cooks for the kitchen to host an in-home baking class, we are happy to cater home parties, so that parents have time to enjoy the party too! We can do buffet style finger foods, classic comfort dishes, afternoon teas—let’s talk and figure out what works best for your event. And for dessert, we can either bring decorated cupcakes to the event, or provide unadorned cupcakes that the party guests can decorate as part of the festivities.
